Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know About SAIF Zone

From costs to visas and mainland sales, here are answers to the questions investors ask most.

A basic commercial or service licence with a shared desk and one visa starts from around AED 20,000 to 30,000 in the first year. Warehouses and larger offices cost more depending on size.

Free zone companies cannot sell directly to the mainland without a local distributor or a mainland branch. Goods moving from the zone to the mainland attract 5% customs duty. TFZ can set up a mainland branch if needed.

The visa quota depends on your facility. A shared desk typically supports 1 to 3 visas, while offices and warehouses support more.

SAIF Zone companies can benefit from 0% corporate tax on qualifying income if they meet the Qualifying Free Zone Person conditions, including audited accounts and adequate substance. Non-qualifying income is taxed at 9%.

Once documents are complete and fees are paid, SAIF Zone typically issues the licence within 24 to 48 hours.
